Tinubu Reacts to his Spokesperson, Ngelale’s Departure

President Bola Tinubu has officially acknowledged Chief Ajuri Ngelale’s decision to take an indefinite leave of absence from his role as the President’s spokesperson.
On Saturday morning, Ngelale announced his leave, citing medical issues affecting his family. He indicated that he had submitted a formal notice to the Chief of Staff to the President.
In response, the presidency released a statement that evening, confirming receipt of Ngelale’s memo. President Tinubu expressed his understanding and sympathy for Ngelale’s situation, acknowledging the personal and health reasons behind his decision.
The statement read, “The President has received the notice from Chief Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser on Media & Publicity and Official Spokesperson, who has decided to take an indefinite leave of absence for personal and health reasons.”
The President extended his heartfelt prayers and well-wishes to Ngelale and his family during this difficult time, hoping for a swift recovery and return to health.
President Tinubu also commended Ngelale for his dedicated service and significant contributions, particularly in national discourse and climate action. He expressed gratitude for Ngelale’s efforts and wished him success in his future endeavors.
