Today’s Naira vs. Dollar: Stability in Official and Parallel Markets with Increased Trading Volume
On Tuesday, the naira held steady at N1,339.33/$1 in the official market and N1,520/$1 in the parallel market, amid a significant rise in transaction volumes.
At the Nigerian Autonomous Foreign Exchange Market (NAFEX) window, the naira closed at N1,339.33/$1, the same rate as Monday. In the parallel market, the naira also remained stable, closing at N1,520/$1.
Transaction volumes saw a significant boost, increasing by 81.58%. The daily turnover reached $328.32 million, compared to Monday’s $180.80 million. The highest spot rate recorded on Tuesday was N1,506, while the lowest was N1,150.
