Top 10 Most Stressful Countries in Africa; See Nigeria Position 

A recent report has identified the top 10 most stressful countries in Africa for 2024, with Nigeria notably placed 33rd on the continent.

 

Africa experiences high stress levels due to various economic challenges, political instability, and social issues.

 

CEOWORLD magazine’s report lists the most stressed countries globally, highlighting several African nations high on the list.

 

The study evaluated 211 countries and territories across four categories: work-related stress, money-related stress, family-related stress, and health- and safety-related stress, offering insights into the global mental health landscape and indicating which countries are managing stress effectively and which are not.

 

South Sudan tops the list of the most stressful countries in Africa with a score of 45.68, followed by Burundi with 45.8, and the Central African Republic with 46.07.

 

In 2023, global stress sources included financial concerns, economic conditions, and health issues, as noted in the CEOWORLD report.

 

This analysis highlights the regions needing the most mental health support and the countries effectively managing stress among their populations.
