Tragic Accident Claims 11 Lives, Including Two Babies, in Abia

On Sunday, a devastating road accident near Umuika Junction on the Enugu-Aba-Port Harcourt Expressway in Abia State resulted in the deaths of eleven individuals, including two babies. The collision occurred around 12:45 pm when a Sienna minivan operated by Abia Line Network, which was fully loaded with passengers, veered off course after the driver fell asleep at the wheel. The vehicle lost control, struck a heavily loaded truck, and ultimately ended up crashing into a nearby bush.
The severe crash led to the unfortunate loss of eleven lives, including two infants.
An eyewitness, identified as Ochiegbu Marvelous, recounted the scene to ABN TV, describing it as “terrible” and suggesting that the number of casualties might exceed eleven.
