Troops Arrest Two for Supplying Drugs to Terrorists in Borno

The Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF) has apprehended two individuals accused of supplying illicit drugs and providing uniforms and flags to Boko Haram and ISWAP insurgents in the Lake Chad region.
According to Lt. Col. Olaniyi Osoba, the MNJTF spokesman, the suspects were arrested along the Kekeno-Cross Kauwa road in Borno. The troops seized a significant amount of substances, including 198 parcels of marijuana. Additionally, three women and a baby, believed to be relatives of the terrorists, were rescued. They claimed to have fled from the terrorists’ strongholds in southern Lake Chad Island, Marte Local Government Area of Borno.
