Want to Defeat Tinubu? Consider Making Peter Obi the ADC Flagbearer – Kayode Ogundamisi

I’m not aligned with any coalition, and I’m far from being a Peter Obi supporter. But if your goal is to unseat Bola Tinubu, Obi remains your most viable option. Even Lagos could be up for grabs if he becomes the unified candidate. While many in Tinubu’s circle ridicule him in public—including myself at times—they quietly recognize the threat he poses. There’s something to build on there. Take that as a free tip.

Tinubu has restructured his political base since assuming power, forming a different alliance than the one that got him elected. With control of the state and a political machine that operates like a syndicate, defeating him requires a strategy that’s anything but conventional. You need someone with organic influence, especially in the Southeast—and right now, Peter Obi fits that bill. Either back him strategically or prepare to lose again.
