Why APC Is Just a Gang of Zombies, Not a Political Party, Says PDP Leader Sowunmi

Segun Sowunmi, a prominent member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has labeled the All Progressives Congress (APC) as nothing more than a “gang of zombies.”

Speaking on Channels TV’s *Politics Today*, Sowunmi criticized the APC for its lack of democratic activity, questioning when the party last held a congress. “The PDP has just conducted congresses nationwide, but I can’t recall the last time the APC did anything similar,” he remarked.

He emphasized the importance of upholding democratic principles, stating, “We’re striving to maintain democratic values, not just settling for a façade of peace. People need to have choices, even if it means taking their grievances to court.”

Sowunmi further asserted that the APC is fooling itself if it believes it functions as a legitimate political party. “While they may hold power and serve as a vehicle for elections, it’s absurd for them to think they are a cohesive political entity. It’s like waking up to find the chairman has been ousted and replaced on a whim. They’re just a gang of zombies.”

He concluded by reiterating that the APC is deceiving itself about its political identity.
