Zamfara: Bandits Kill 7 Policemen, 4 Others, Burn School, Cars, Injured Many
In a tragic incident, armed bandits raided Magarya community in Zurmi Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
According to reports, the attack resulted in the deaths of eleven individuals, including seven mobile police officers and four civilians.
The assailants also destroyed three cars, one of which belonged to the district head of Magarya, Nasir Magarya, who is the brother of the former speaker of the Zamfara State House of Assembly.
Additionally, chairs in the former speaker’s house were set on fire.
Local resident Ahmad Umar reported that the Magarya Model Primary School was also set ablaze, and many people suffered various injuries.
Efforts to reach the spokesperson of the State Police Command, ASP Yazid Abubakar, were unsuccessful at the time of this report.
