The Ogun State Police Command has arrested a suspected cultist, Ishola Joseph, for the murder of a rival identified as Segun in Abeokuta.
The incident happened at Bode Olude Junction on Tuesday night, May 14, 2024.
The spokesperson of the command, SP Omolola Odutola, who confirmed the incident in a statement on Wednesday, said the suspect chopped off the victim’s right wrist after killing him.
According to the PPRO, the suspect was caught and beaten while trying to escape from the scene.
“One Segun aka ”Ojo Ibo” was killed and his right wrist chopped off at about 2130hrs of 14the May 2024 after being chased by a rival cult member at Bode Olude Junction,” the statement read.
“One Ishola Joseph, a cultist was nabbed and beaten while trying to escape.”
