2. Creation of New Emirates: Following Sanusi’s removal, Ganduje’s administration established four additional emirates in Kano State.

3. Dissolution of Emirate Councils: On Thursday, the Kano Assembly dissolved all five emirate councils, affirming that Governor Abba Yusuf holds the sole constitutional authority to appoint new emirs.

4. Reviving Kano’s Glory: Deputy Speaker Alhaji Muhammad Bello Butu stated that repealing the law creating the additional emirates would restore Kano’s former glory, as the division had diminished the state’s stature at the national level.
