Whitemoney Give Reasons why Nigerians will Regret for Not Supporting His Music Career

Hazel Oyeze, popularly known as Whitemoney and winner of Big Brother Naija Season 6, has expressed that Nigerians will regret not supporting his music career once he gains international recognition. In a recent interview with Echoo Room, the reality TV star turned singer shared his thoughts on the issue.
Whitemoney drew parallels to Grammy award-winning artist Burna Boy, who faced similar challenges early in his career. He noted that Burna Boy was often criticized by Nigerian promoters and labeled as ‘proud’ when he achieved international success and became less accessible to local show organizers.
Whitemoney predicted a similar scenario for himself, stating that Nigerian promoters would regret their lack of support once he achieves global success. “Nigerian promoters did the same thing to Burna Boy and Davido. They didn’t believe in their sounds initially, but when they gained international appreciation, Nigerians were forced to acknowledge their talent and ended up paying more,” he said. “Your only prayer should be that I don’t make it in the music industry, because if I do, you all will pay.”
He further revealed that his genre of music is called ‘Kumkum’ and asserted that he has no rivals in the industry. “I’m a king in my lane. For me, nobody rivals my talent. Others may be good in their own way, but I am the king. That’s why I have my own genre. I don’t do Afrobeats or highlife. My genre is Kumkum,” Whitemoney declared.
