Police Arrest PoS Operator Allegedly Supplying Sex Workers to Bandits

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) police command has apprehended Sunday Musa, also known as Dan Gwari, a Point of Sale (PoS) operator accused of supplying sex workers to bandits and distributing money to their families in Kagarko Local Government Area, Kaduna State.

FCT Commissioner of Police Benneth Igweh announced the arrest while presenting the suspect in Abuja on Tuesday. Musa was captured during a coordinated operation by the command’s anti-kidnap unit in Kagarko.

Igweh described Musa as the primary informant and logistics supplier for bandit groups led by a commander named Ardo, who is currently at large. Musa allegedly facilitated the movement of nurses, hard drugs, and sex workers on behalf of the bandits.

“The suspect has also confessed to being a financial courier, distributing over N20 million to the bandits’ families,” Igweh stated.

Musa also revealed that Ardo’s group consists of over 15 members, all armed with AK-47 rifles. In addition, the police arrested 41-year-old housewife Ruqquaya Ibrahim, who allegedly supplied food and other logistics to the bandits.

Ibrahim, a resident of Sabon-Wuse, Niger State, admitted to providing food items to a group led by a commander named Shumau, who is also on the run. She was arrested in Gidan-Dogo forest while en route to deliver supplies and subsequently led the police to Shumau’s residence, where they recovered 14 rustled cows.
