Police Arrest 19-Year-Old Female Kidnapper and Cultists in Edo State

The Edo State Police Command has successfully apprehended a 19-year-old female suspected of involvement in kidnapping activities, along with several members of a notorious cult group. This development is part of the ongoing efforts by the police to curb crime and maintain law and order in the state.

According to the official statement released by the police, the young suspect was captured during a meticulously planned operation that targeted a network of kidnappers operating within the region. The arrest was made following a series of intelligence reports and surveillance activities that identified the suspect’s involvement in multiple abductions.
In addition to the 19-year-old kidnapper, the police also arrested several individuals linked to a well-known cult group that has been responsible for a series of violent crimes in the area. These cultists were apprehended during coordinated raids in various locations across Edo State. The police recovered weapons, ammunition, and other items linking the suspects to their criminal activities.
The Commissioner of Police in Edo State, while addressing the press, emphasized the commitment of the police force to eradicating criminal elements from the state. He praised the efforts of the officers involved in the operation and reiterated the importance of community cooperation in the fight against crime.
“The arrest of these individuals is a testament to the relentless efforts of the Edo State Police Command to ensure the safety and security of our citizens. We will continue to pursue and bring to justice those who engage in criminal activities,” he stated.
The arrested individuals are currently undergoing interrogation and will be charged to court upon the completion of the investigations. The police have assured the public that they will intensify their efforts to dismantle criminal networks and restore peace and order in Edo State.
