Agreement Focusing on Economic and Environmental Cooperation

 

Nigeria, Ghana, and 76 other nations have officially signed the Samoa Agreement, a comprehensive framework targeting economic development, security, environmental sustainability, migration, mobility, and climate change. The agreement also emphasizes investment opportunities, sustainable development, and mutually beneficial cooperation.

 

The Samoa Agreement is a landmark treaty involving 79 countries from around the globe. It aims to create a robust legal foundation for EU relations with these nations, which include 48 African, 16 Caribbean, and 15 Pacific countries. Covering a population of approximately 2 billion people, the agreement is designed to enhance the collaborative efforts of the EU and the ACP (African, Caribbean, and Pacific countries) in addressing global challenges.
