Arewa Progressive Forum State Their Position in Voting Tinubu in 2027; See Details

The Arewa Progressive Forum for Good Governance (APFGG) has declared that Bashir El-Rufai, son of the former Kaduna State Governor, and his allies cannot prevent Northerners from re-electing President Tinubu in 2027.
Bashir El-Rufai had posted on social media, predicting that the President and the Governor would be voted out in 2027 due to “non-performance.”
In response, Malam Ibrahim Musa Bichi, Chairman of APFGG, issued a statement condemning Bashir’s prediction and challenging his father, Nasir El-Rufai, to run for the presidency in 2027 and face defeat by Tinubu.
The group accused Bashir of echoing his father’s sentiments, who they claimed was upset over not receiving a ministerial position and was accused of misappropriating N423 billion in state funds.
“Tinubu has established a political structure over the years that is guiding Nigeria in the right direction. There’s no reason to oppose an administration committed to improving the country,” the statement read.
The group emphasized that Northerners will support Tinubu, recognizing his efforts through the Renewed Hope Agenda to address insecurity and economic challenges left by previous administrations.
APFGG also dared Nasir El-Rufai to contest the presidential election in 2027, asserting confidence in Tinubu’s continued support f
rom the North.
