Niger State Confirms 13 Dead in Bandit Attack

The Niger State Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management has reported that 13 individuals were killed in a bandit attack on Bassa and Anguwan Magiro villages in the Shiroro Local Government Area.Â
Habibu Wushishi, the ministry’s Director of Media and Strategy, provided this update, expressing sorrow over the tragic incident. He noted that the attacks occurred on August 20th and 21st, 2024.
According to Wushishi, the assault on Anguwan Magiro resulted in 13 fatalities, with several others injured. Fortunately, there were no reports of abductions during these attacks.
