How Katsina Police Neutralize Two Suspected Bandits; See the Number of Kidnapped Victims Rescued

The Katsina State Police Command has reported the successful neutralization of two suspected bandits and the rescue of five kidnapped individuals during operations on August 25, 2024.

 

According to a statement from the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), ASP Abubakar Sadiq, the first operation took place in Layin Minister Village, Malumfashi Local Government Area (LGA). In response to a distress call, police swiftly intervened in a bandit attack, rescuing all five kidnapped victims unharmed after a fierce gunfight with the perpetrators.

 

In a separate incident, bandits targeted Marabar Kankara village, also in Malumfashi LGA. The police engaged the attackers, resulting in the elimination of two suspected bandits, whose bodies were subsequently recovered from the scene.

 

CP Aliyu Abubakar Musa praised the police operatives for their courage and affirmed the command’s ongoing commitment to maintaining security in Katsina State. The police are now focused on apprehending additional suspects and continue to investigate the incidents.

 

This operation underscores the Katsina State Police Command’s resolve to safeguard the community and tackle criminal activities effectively.
