See the Number that Die in Recent Accident on Lagos-Ibadan Expressway

A tragic road accident occurred on Friday morning along the Lagos-Ibadan expressway, resulting in the death of six people, including two men and four women. The incident took place around 7:40 a.m. near Verony, Ogere.
According to reports, three other individuals sustained injuries in the crash, which involved an ash-colored Toyota Sienna with the license plate EPE692EL and an unidentified truck.
The spokesperson for the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Ogun State, Florence Okpe, confirmed the accident, stating that the Toyota Sienna, which was speeding, collided with a moving truck from behind. This collision led to the deaths of six passengers and left three others injured.
Okpe mentioned that the truck did not remain at the scene following the incident. The injured were transported to Patmag Hospital in Ogere for medical treatment, while the deceased were taken to FOS Morgue in Ipara.
Sector Commander of the Ogun Sector Command, Akinwumi Fasakin, described the crash as preventable, emphasizing the importance of caution and attentiveness while driving. He urged all motorists to remain focused and adhere to traffic regulations to avoid such accidents. Fasakin also extended his condolences to the families of the deceased and wished a swift recovery for those injured.
