APC Leader Joe Igbokwe Urges President Tinubu to Address Soaring Electricity Tariffs

Joe Igbokwe, a prominent figure in the All Progressives Congress (APC) and a supporter of President Bola Tinubu, has raised concerns over the new electricity tariffs in Nigeria. Igbokwe warned that if the government does not take immediate action, these tariffs could devastate businesses.
In a Facebook post on Saturday, Igbokwe expressed frustration over the rapid depletion of electricity units, noting that N20,000 worth of units now lasts only one day.
He urged President Tinubu to review the current tariff structure, stating, “President Tinubu, please address the new electricity tariffs. They are crippling businesses. My small office in Surulere, which operates about seven air conditioners, used to get over 300 units for N20,000. Now, that same amount only lasts a single day under the current Band A rates. Immediate review is crucial.”
