Bandits Raid Kaduna Hospital, kidnap Nurses and Patients

Bandits
Bandits have stormed the Primary Healthcare Centre in Kuyallo, Birnin-Gwari Local Government Area of Kaduna State, kidnapping two nurses and several patients.
The attack occurred after the bandits, initially targeting the nearby Government Day Secondary School, found it empty and redirected their efforts to the healthcare facility.
Musa Alhassan, a leader of a local vigilante group, reported that the bandits arrived at the school around 9 a.m. on Monday, September 9, 2024, and upon discovering no students present, proceeded to the healthcare centre. They forcibly took two female nurses and an unknown number of patients, causing widespread alarm in the community.
An eyewitness described the scene, noting that the attackers were armed with guns and machetes, dragging people from the hospital without intervention.
The attack highlights ongoing security challenges in Kaduna State. As of now, neither the Kaduna State Police Command nor government officials have confirmed the incident. Efforts to reach the command’s Public Relations Officer, Mansir Hassan, for comment were unsuccessful.
