See the Number Reported Dead in Kaduna Road Accident

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Kaduna Sector Command has confirmed that seven individuals lost their lives in a road traffic accident on the Hayin Gada to Saminaka road on Saturday morning.

Sector Commander Kabir Nadabo provided details to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), stating that the incident occurred around 10:00 AM. A combined response team from the FRSC, the Pambegua Unit Command, and local vigilance groups arrived at the scene shortly after at 10:05 AM, only to find all seven passengers deceased.

The crash involved a Peugeot J5 with registration number TRN 861XL 08 AA, which was carrying five passengers. This vehicle collided with a Bajaj Boxer, which had no registration, resulting in the deaths of both the driver and a passenger.

Initial investigations indicated that the accident was caused by reckless overtaking and speeding. Further inquiries revealed that the driver of the J5, identified as Abdul Shakur Adam, lost control of his vehicle, leading to the tragic incident.

The bodies were taken to the General Hospital in Pambegua, where their deaths were confirmed. The Kaduna State FRSC expressed deep condolences to the families of the victims, highlighting the sorrow surrounding this tragic loss.

Nadabo noted that the Pambegua-Saminaka route is typically one of the safer roads in Kaduna State, with very few accidents reported, largely due to ongoing road reconstruction efforts. In the third quarter of this year, only two fatal crashes had been recorded on this route.

The FRSC remains dedicated to maintaining road safety and will continue its patrol and rescue operations in the area. Nadabo urged drivers to adhere to road safety regulations, particularly as the festive season approaches. He emphasized the importance of avoiding night travel, excessive speed, and overloading, as well as the necessity of using seat belts.

The FRSC is committed to ensuring safe travel for all commuters and extends its gratitude to the Kaduna State Government for its ongoing support, as well as to the media for their efforts in promoting road sa

fety awareness.
