Master Vershima Mker and Miss Lami Jennifer Iorvihi, both university graduates, are seeking justice after an alleged assault by military personnel in Abuja.

The victims, through their legal representatives, Tom Uja & Co., have filed a formal complaint with the Chief of Army Staff, demanding the dismissal of Major General G.S. Mohammed and Corporal A. Abubakar, as well as a compensation of N150 million.

The incident reportedly took place on 3rd Avenue in Gwarinpa, Abuja, while the victims were visiting relatives ahead of an upcoming wedding. According to the petition, Major General Mohammed’s convoy, which was reportedly using sirens, arrived at a congested area. Despite the limited space, the convoy allegedly forced its way through, leading to a confrontation with the victims.

The petitioners claim that the soldiers then dragged Mker and Iorvihi from their vehicle, subjected them to physical assault, and inflicted injuries on them.
