NAF Strikes Terrorists with Precision Airstrikes in Borno, Dismantles Key Threats

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has conducted powerful airstrikes targeting terrorists in the Kukawa area of Borno State, as part of Operation Hadin Kai. According to a statement released on Wednesday by Air Commodore Olusola Akinboyewa, the Director of Public Relations and Information for the NAF, the airstrikes resulted in significant damage to the terrorists’ equipment and personnel.

Akinboyewa explained that the first airstrike, based on reliable intelligence, targeted a gun truck located about five kilometers west of Kukawa. NAF fighter jets executed the strike with precision, destroying the truck and crippling the terrorist group’s operations.

In the second operation, the NAF provided close air support to ground troops under heavy attack by terrorists riding motorcycles. Responding to a distress call, NAF air assets engaged the attackers at various intervals, neutralizing numerous fighters. In addition, over 20 motorcycles abandoned by the terrorists were recovered by the ground forces. Following the successful airstrike, troops continued their pursuit of the fleeing militants.

The NAF reaffirmed its commitment to supporting ground operations and enhancing efforts to restore security across the nation. It also pledged to continue providing air support to assist ground troops and other security agencies in their fight against terrorism.
