How Herdsmen Leader In Ondo was Hacked To Death By Suspected Kidnappers

suspected group of kidnappers has reportedly murdered a herdsmen leader, Aliu Yunusa, in Ondo State after abducting his wife.
Yunusa, who was heading to his ranch near the Ilu-Abo junction in Akure South Local Government Area, was attacked and killed by his assailants.
Sources revealed that the kidnappers initially abducted his wife, but Yunusa fought them off and successfully secured her release. However, the attackers returned, overpowered him, and fatally hacked him to death.
The Commander of the state security outfit, Amotekun, Chief Adetunji Adeleye, confirmed the incident, stating that Yunusa was killed by individuals believed to be fellow Fulani herdsmen who had attempted to rustle his cattle.
Adeleye explained: “They had earlier kidnapped his wife, but he fought them off and retrieved her. Unfortunately, they returned, overpowered him, and killed him while attempting to steal his cows.”
A distress call was made to the Amotekun Corps’ Ogbese outpost by fellow herdsmen who discovered Yunusa’s body. Upon arriving at the scene, Amotekun officers found Yunusa’s body with multiple machete wounds. His motorcycle was also reportedly set ablaze by the attackers.
Adeleye assured that Amotekun officers are currently combing the forest in search of the perpetrators.
