Shocking CCTV Footage Shows Moment SUV is Stolen in Anambra Village

An unknown individual was caught on CCTV stealing an SUV parked in Otta Village, Anambra State. The vehicle’s owner had left it in an open area while attending a meeting in Oraukwu.

The footage shows a man driving a Toyota Camry (commonly known as the “pencil” model) passing by the parked SUV. The suspect is seen walking around the area, seemingly loitering near the vehicle. After some time, the Camry driver returns, briefly speaking with the man before leaving. Shortly after, the thief approaches the SUV, enters, and drives away without delay.
What remains unclear is how the thief managed to gain access to the vehicle so easily, raising concerns about whether the car was securely locked by its owner.
The owner of the SUV is urging the public to come forward with any information that could help identify and apprehend the suspect.
