FROM DEFENDING US IN COURT TO FEEDING US AND CREATING WEALTH — WHY K-RAD IS DIFFERENT
FROM DEFENDING US IN COURT TO FEEDING US AND CREATING WEALTH — WHY K-RAD IS DIFFERENT.
My good people of Osun Central,
Let me brief you about the man we are about to send to the Senate.
Kunle Rasheed Adegoke, popularly known as K-RAD, is Omo Baba Alaso Oke — a true son of Osogbo, born into a humble, hardworking family. His father was known in Osogbo as Baba Alaso Oke, a man who used his hands to weave the famous Yoruba Aso Oke to feed his family. That humble background taught K-RAD hard work, honesty and love for community from childhood.
He had his early education at Ansar-ud-deen Primary School, Osogbo. From there, through brilliance and determination, he went on to study Law and rose to become a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) — the highest honour in the legal profession in Nigeria.
He did not wait for white collar job or government appointment. He built his name through law, through advocacy and through civic struggle. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria, a Notary Public, a member of the Board of Governors of HEDA — Human and Environmental Development Agenda — and a respected constitutional lawyer.
For over 21 years, K-RAD served as lawyer to the progressive family — from AC, to ACN, to APC — defending the party, defending our governors, defending our local government chairmen and councillors, without collecting salary. When APC was oppressed in Osun, it was K-RAD who stood in court and brought victory back. In 2018, he traversed the whole of Osun for 17 months, contesting for governorship, not for money but to share his blueprint — Tiwa N Tiwa L’Osun. That blueprint is about transforming Osun from a civil service state to a productive state.
What has he done? He teaches how to fish.
This is the difference. Many politicians only share rice for one day and disappear. K-RAD has been teaching how to fish for over 21 years. As a lawyer, he taught our people how to know their rights and defend their rights. As a mentor, he has mentored hundreds of young lawyers, youths and party faithful across Osun, many of whom today are standing on their own. He taught the party how to fish legally — how to fight for justice with law and knowledge, not with violence.
Beyond law, he is known for community development and philanthropy. He has never forgotten his root as Omo Baba Alaso Oke. In Awokose community along Owode-Ilesa road, in Abidogun-Alare and many other communities in Osogbo and across Osun Central, he listens and acts — donating solar lights, supporting road and community needs, standing with flood victims, supporting education and youth programs. He has always supported educational and development initiatives at home because he knows what it means to come from humble background.
His legal and civic experience shaped his philosophy — justice, competence, agriculture and economic revitalization. He believes leadership should be about competence and ideas, not about sharing fish for one day. He always says leadership should not be by zoning or sentiment, but by who has capacity to deliver good governance.
And in his manifesto, agriculture is number one — but not only for farmers, for everybody.
He believes Osun Central has fertile land, hardworking people, great traders and industrious youth, but they have been abandoned. His plan is not to give people fish, but to teach them how to own the river:
For our farmers — modern agricultural revolution, mechanized farming, provision of farm inputs, storage facilities and market access so farm produce will not waste, plus agro-processing industries to add value.
For our youth and women — entrepreneurship, skills acquisition, and job creation through agriculture value chain and small business support, so they will not depend on stipends.
For our traders, artisans and market people — access to capital, enabling environment, and legal protection for their businesses and lands, so no one can cheat them.
For our civil servants and workers — quality legislation that protects their welfare, promotion and dignity, because Osun is a civil service state.
For all of us — justice, rule of law, and strong protection of our rights and properties.
He knows if you fix agriculture, you fix hunger, you fix employment for youth, you create business for traders, and you create wealth for all families. That is teaching how to own the river.
What will he do if Osun Central vote him as Senator?
He will bring that same teaching-to-fish spirit to our 10 Local Governments:
OSOGBO, OLORUNDA, OROLU, IREPODUN, IFELODUN, BORIPE, BOLUWADURO, ILA, IFEDAYO, ODO-OTIN.
1. Agricultural revolution and agro-industrialization — real support for farmers and farm settlements, and industries that will employ our youth.
2. Youth, women, traders and artisans empowerment — skills, capital, entrepreneurship and job creation for all, not only for farmers.
3. Quality legislation, constitutional protection and defence of our people’s rights in Abuja — a SAN who knows how to argue and win our case.
4. Education support and human-capital development — scholarships and support for students because he knows education lifted him as Omo Baba Alaso Oke.
5. Community development and quality representation — solar, roads, healthcare and federal presence in all 10 LGAs.
Many politicians give fish for one day and disappear. K-RAD, Omo Baba Alaso Oke, has been teaching our people how to fish for over 21 years — through law, through mentorship, through community service, and now through his agricultural and prosperity blueprint that carries everybody along.
That is why I say Osun Central will be different with K-RAD.
