Yoruba, Ibo, Hausa and Others Should Separate If Nigeria Isn’t Working – Sunday Igboho
Sunday Adeyemo, also known as Sunday Igboho, a prominent advocate for the Yoruba Nation, has expressed frustration over the lack of pride among many Nigerians in their national identity.
In a video posted online on Thursday, Igboho, who was at an airport in the United Kingdom, highlighted corruption, insecurity, and the country’s economic challenges as key reasons for the declining patriotism among Nigerians.
The separatist leader suggested that if Nigeria cannot function as a unified nation, it would be better for different ethnic groups to go their separate ways. He emphasized that Yoruba youths, who have gained significant global exposure, are eager to modernize and elevate the Yoruba nation to be as prosperous as European countries.
Igboho shared his grievances, stating, “Even in the airport, there’s no security. People can steal your belongings from your bag in Nigerian airports. Such issues make us ashamed to identify as Nigerians.”
He continued, “These are the reasons we advocate for separation. If Nigeria isn’t working, it’s better we go our separate ways.”
He further noted, “Our Yoruba youths are equipped with knowledge from traveling around the world. When they return, they will use this experience to transform Yoruba land into a modern, thriving society like those in Europe.”
