See Current Value of Naira as Naira Weakens Against Dollar in Official Market

The Nigerian Naira closed lower against the U.S. dollar on Friday, settling at N1,602.18 per dollar in the official market, according to figures published by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN). This marks a decline of N5.49 or 0.34% from the previous rate of N1,596.69 recorded on Wednesday, April 30, ahead of the Workers’ Day holiday.
From Monday, April 28, to Wednesday, April 30, the Naira had shown relative stability, exchanging at N1,599.95, N1,599.71, and N1,596.69, respectively. However, the local currency ended the week on a weaker note after beginning the week with a modest dip of 0.02%.
