House of Representatives hopeful, Hon. (Barr.) Pelumi Olajengbesi, received a warm welcome during his recent visit to Ipetu Ijesa in Oriade Local Government Area of Osun State. Running under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), he came to connect with the people, show appreciation, and share his plans for the future.

Hon. Olajengbesi thanked all PDP members who showed up in large numbers, praying that God will help them achieve their goals and continue to strengthen the party. He spoke about the 2022 Gubernatorial election victory and praised Governor Ademola Adeleke for his great work across Osun State.

He encouraged party members to go back to their wards and polling units to begin working early, saying real victory starts from the grassroots. “They told me to start from Ipetu Ijesa because this place is the home of PDP,” he said. “Some people claimed PDP no longer exists here, but today proves them wrong. Ipetu Ijesa is PDP, and PDP is Ipetu Ijesa.”
Pelumi Olajengbesi also announced plans to meet with youths and empower women, urging women to begin writing their names down in every unit to get involved. He introduced a new support group called Imole Grassroots Network, created to help the party perform even better in future elections.
As part of his visit, he promised to bring Governor Adeleke to Ipetu Ijesa to celebrate with the people for their loyalty to the party. He also pledged N5 million in support for 250 women and gave N1 million to the musicians performing at the event. He declared that Omo Emin, the musician and his band will officially lead music at all his campaign events.
The visit left many excited and hopeful, as Hon. Olajengbesi promised to continue listening to the people and building a stronger PDP for the future.
