See How My Father Converted From Muslim To Christian Because Of Food
Nigerian comedian Adesokan Adedeji Emmanuel, popularly known as Shank Comics, recently opened up about his father’s unexpected switch from Islam to Christianity — and the unusual reason behind it.
During a conversation with a fan in the United States who assumed he was Muslim, Shank clarified that he’s a Christian, despite having a Muslim name, Saheed. He explained that his father originally practiced Islam but changed his faith under rather amusing circumstances.
According to Shank, his father once found himself extremely hungry, and a church happened to offer him a meal. That act of kindness was enough to prompt his father to adopt Christianity.
In his own words, Shank joked, “My dad used to be a Muslim. One day he was really hungry, and a church gave him food. That was it — he became a Christian. I swear, my dad is so cheap.”
