Soldiers Eliminate Bandits, Seize Weapons in Plateau State Ambush

Troops from Forward Operating Base (FOB) Shendam in Plateau State successfully ambushed and neutralized three suspected bandits while recovering weapons and ammunition during an operation between Teng and Kayarda villages in Qua’an Pan Local Government Area.
According to intelligence shared with Zagazola Makama, the mission took place around 2:00 p.m. on May 27, following reliable information about an impending attack by the bandits.
“The soldiers set up an ambush along the route connecting Teng and Kayarda based on credible intelligence. They engaged the bandits in a gunfight, resulting in the elimination of three suspects and the seizure of four AK-47 rifles, four magazines, and 56 rounds of 7.62mm ammunition,” the source explained.
This operation is part of the ongoing proactive efforts under Operation Lafiyan Jama’a, aimed at enhancing security and preventing future attacks in the region.
Zagazola further reports that military efforts across Plateau State have been stepped up to protect vulnerable communities and counter threats from armed groups.
