Kidnappers Demand ₦1 Billion for Release of Chinese and Nigerian Nationals in Kwara

A ransom of ₦1 billion has been demanded by kidnappers holding a Chinese expatriate, Mr. Sam Xie Wie, and his Nigerian colleague, Mr. David Adenaiye, following their abduction in Kwara State.

According to credible intelligence obtained on Friday, the abductors contacted an associate of the victims, Mr. Leo Liang, using one of the captives’ mobile phones to issue the demand.

The duo was seized during a violent raid on a mining facility on Wednesday. Tragically, the attack also claimed the lives of two officers from the Police Mobile Force who were assigned to provide security at the site.

Security forces, in collaboration with local vigilante teams, are currently working tirelessly to locate and rescue the victims safely.
