Ambush in Udei: Suspected Herdsmen Kill Four Police in Sudden Attack

Credible sources have confirmed that four police officers lost their lives in Udei yesterday.

According to reports, tensions had been escalating in the community. When police officers arrived, they urged residents to remain calm and not take the law into their own hands, insisting that there were no armed Fulani herdsmen in the vicinity.
Despite warnings from locals about a potential ambush, the officers chose to proceed with their operation. In response, the local youths stood down, giving the police space to act.
Tragically, shortly after the officers fired a warning shot into the air, suspected assailants launched a sudden attack, resulting in the immediate death of four officers.
