See Reasons Labour Party Admits Misstep in Naming Youth Wing ‘Obidient’

Dr. Ayo Olorunfemi, the Deputy National Chairman of the Labour Party, has admitted that branding the party’s youth wing as “Obidient” was a misstep. Speaking on the issue, he acknowledged that the label created unintended complications and that the party has since taken corrective action.

“We’ve recognised the error in that naming,” Olorunfemi said. “It wasn’t the best decision, and we’ve moved to fix it by renaming the group as the Directorate of Mobilisation and Integration.”
