Supreme Court Confirms Monday Okpebholo (APC) as Legitimate Governor of Edo State

Court
The Supreme Court has officially validated Monday Okpebholo’s election victory, confirming him as the duly elected Governor of Edo State under the All Progressives Congress (APC).
In a unanimous ruling delivered by a five-member panel chaired by Justice Mohammed Garba Lawal, the court upheld the earlier judgment of the Court of Appeal in Abuja. The panel concluded that the appellants failed to prove allegations of electoral irregularities, unlawful voting, or that Okpebholo’s victory was invalid.
As a result, the appeal was dismissed for lacking merit, solidifying Okpebholo’s position as the legitimate governor.
