No Clash, No Crisis: AMBO Movement Exposes Falsehood Behind Gbongan Story with Babayemi Supporters

No Clash, No Crisis: AMBO Movement Exposes Falsehood Behind Gbongan Story with Babayemi Supporters

The Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO) Media Fronts has dispelled the outright misinformation circulating that the AMBO Movement engaged in a “bloody clash over campaign territory” with the Ireti Osun 2026 group of Omooba Dotun Babayemi in Gbongan, Ayedaade Local Government, on Sunday—the final day of its statewide consultation with members, leaders and stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) over the 2026 governorship ambition of its principal, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji.

We clarify that at no time did members of the AMBO Movement engage in any verbal confrontation, let alone violent altercations, with supporters of Babayemi. The report is purely a figment of the imagination of its author and the discredited purveyors of such malicious misinformation.

The warm reception accorded the AMBO Movement in all the 30 local government areas visited by Asiwaju Oyebamiji and his entourage during the recently concluded consultation tour has been widely reported in the media, confirming that no untoward incident occurred anywhere.

It is evident from the tone and content of the false report that the hollowed minds jittery about losing control of the hallowed office to the APC in 2026 are behind this evil and baseless fabrication—an attempt to create a false impression of division within the Osun APC. We remain one united family in the party, committed to sending the political philistines out of government next year and ensuring a resounding re-election victory for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027.

The AMBO consultation tour across the 30 local government areas of the state has been an eye-opener, reflecting the overwhelming desire of the Osun people to return the APC to power in 2026. The people can no longer tolerate the current disoriented, dispirited and unproductive handlers of statecraft who sacked 1,500 teachers, collected recruitment fees from over 32,000 job applicants and have failed to employ even one person in the last 35 months.

The AMBO Movement has, over time, conducted its engagements with utmost decency and peace. It remains committed to sustaining this Omoluabi ethos until the bumblers in Abere are sent packing next year.

Adebayo Adedeji
