HE. Faduri Oluwadare Joseph (FADOJOE) Addresses the Youth of Africa: A Call to Action for Cameroon and the Continent

HE. Faduri Oluwadare Joseph (FADOJOE), former Labour Party presidential aspirant and the founder of Rescue Movement for New Nigeria has reacted to the recently concluded election in Cameroon, describing it not just as a national disgrace, but as a continental embarrassment. He highlighted that a 93-year-old man, who has ruled for 43 years, has once again been declared the winner. According to him, this is a mockery of democracy, not just in Cameroon, but across Africa.
“This is not leadership; this is the greed for power,” FADOJOE said. “How can a man who can barely present himself to his people govern a nation? This is modern-day slavery, maintained by corrupt laws. We are all experiencing leaders who manipulate power for their personal gain. We are tired of a democracy that has been reduced to a family meeting.”
FADOJOE called on the youth of Africa to rise and awaken the continent. He emphasized the need to build systems that work, systems where votes count, where leaders serve the people, and where citizens are treated with dignity. “All of these are missing in Africa today,” he said.
He also accused the electoral process of being riddled with irregularities that favored the incumbent president, warning that history will remember those who betrayed their people.
Addressing the youth directly, FADOJOE said:
“Africa must support you. If Africa fails in Cameroon, she fails everywhere.”
“Africa must speak with one voice. No more silence in the face of failed leadership.”
“Let the world know that a new Africa is awakening, a new Africa is being born. It is time for us to rise, take our place, and fix our continent so that our people can return home with dignity and hope.”
He concluded with a call for action: it is the responsibility of African youth to lead the charge for a better future, reclaim leadership, and restore democracy and justice across the continent.
