AMBO 2026: The Only Choice That Guarantees APC’s Return to Power in Osun

According to Aristotle, “The ultimate aim of political science is to create a state that helps its citizens live a virtuous and flourishing life, achieving the highest good.” This timeless principle underscores the importance of choosing leaders who possess the character, competence and capacity to deliver good governance.

As the APC governorship primary election draws near—an exercise in which party delegates will determine the party’s flag-bearer for the August 08, 2026 governorship election—the critical question naturally arises: Who is the best man for the job?

The answer is clear, simple and straightforward: all the essential qualities required of a credible governorship candidate are abundantly found in Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO).

APC delegates should vote for AMBO because he stands out. Firstly, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji’s educational background is solid and without blemish. He recorded outstanding performance throughout his academic journey. He is a Fellow of many professional bodies, including of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria and of the United Kingdom. His credentials are authentic, verifiable non-controversial and can be confidently defended anywhere in the world. A candidate with sound education naturally inspires the youth to pursue quality education that will secure their future. AMBO’s academic background is solid, credible and free from controversy. This stands in clear contrast to the poor and controversial educational history of Governor Ademola Adeleke, which has continued to attract public criticism and embarrassment to the state. The quality of leadership begins with the quality of preparation, and AMBO is evidently well prepared.

Secondly, since the beginning of his financial and political career, AMBO has never been indicted for financial impropriety, misuse of funds, misappropriation of assets, embezzlement, or any form of financial abuse. Despite serving twice as Commissioner for finance in Osun, and even with repeated investigations by the present Adeleke-led administration, there has never been any indictment against him. This consistent record of transparency and accountability speaks volumes about his integrity.
A candidate burdened with unresolved legal issues weakens the chances of his party at the polls. Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO) has no case with the EFCC, ICPC, or the Police. He has no unresolved police matter of any kind. This clean record is critical because a candidate with baggage will inevitably reduce the electoral chances of the party. The APC, at this crucial time, needs a candidate with clean credentials and unsoiled integrity to secure victory in Osun State.

Thirdly, in terms of boardroom experience and administrative competence, AMBO is exceptionally qualified. His years of service in the banking sector demonstrate that he is fair, efficient, transparent, open and accountable. In addition, his tenure as the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of a federal government agency further proves his capacity for leadership, sound decision-making and effective public sector management.

AMBO is also a devoted family man with a highly accomplished and professional wife, Dr. Sekinat Oyebamiji. She is a gynaecologist and obstetrician consultant in a state-owned teaching hospital and has consistently supported her husband from the beginning of his public service journey. Her professional standing and dedication will contribute meaningfully to quality governance. The medical profession of AMBO’s wife will also add immense value to governance. She stands as a powerful role model to women and the girl-child. Her professional career will encourage young girls to seek quality education and pursue meaningful career paths, while also strengthening women inclusion in governance.

Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji is widely known across Osun State, particularly in his local government area. He demonstrated strong grassroots political capacity by leading the APC to defeat the PDP in the 2022 election in Irewole Local Government, a clear testament to his electoral value and mobilization strength.

AMBO is a friendly and selfless leader whose humility is second to none. He is accessible to all and firmly committed to the democratic system of government, where leadership is defined by service to the people and not by authoritarianism and arrogance. He sees himself first and foremost as a servant of the people, dedicated to their welfare, progress, and prosperity. He is truly the best man for the job.
