The Director-General, Hon. Oluwole Oke, and the Director-General for Osun East, Prince Ogungbangbe Thomas, today convened a strategic engagement with the 22 Ward Councillors and Council Bosses in Oriade and Obokun Local Government Areas.

 

The high-level meeting, attended by key party stakeholders and grassroots mobilisers, focused on deepening unity, enhancing coordination, and strengthening party structures in preparation for the forthcoming gubernatorial election on 15th August, 2026.

 

Discussions highlighted the critical importance of collective responsibility, robust grassroots mobilisation, and sustained engagement with the masses at the ward level. Participants unanimously reaffirmed their commitment to the shared vision and resolved to work in synergy to ensure a successful and impactful outing at the poll.

 

Speaking during the engagement, Hon. Oluwole Oke stressed the need for cohesion and dedication, noting that “victory is best secured when the base is solid and the structure is united.” He commended the councillors and council executives for their steadfast loyalty and consistency while urging them to intensify mobilisation efforts across all wards.

 

In his remarks, Prince Ogungbangbe Thomas assured the councillors of the committee’s responsiveness and readiness to address their concerns, reiterating the commitment to inclusive engagement and effective coordination at all levels.

 

Also present at the meeting were Hon. Bunmi Obeisun, Hon. Owoeye Samuel Abiodun, Hon. Iyanda Babatunji, Hon. Omolebi-Sunday Segun Tunde, Hon. Mercy Ayodele, Hon. Kunle Bolarinde, among others.

 

The meeting concluded on a note of optimism, with stakeholders expressing strong confidence in the robustness of the party structure and a collective readiness to deliver.
