The Director-General of the Osun State Campaign Council, Hon. The high-powered delegation included key leaders of the Campaign Council, notably Hon. Oluwole Oke (Director-General); Prince Bayo Adeleke (Banik), Director-General, Osun West; Prince Thomas Ogungbamigbe, Director-General, Osun East; Rt. Hon. Adejare Bello (Ede Federal Constituency); Prince Femi Kujembola (Ijesa South); Hon. Asifat Akinola (Irewole Federal Constituency); and Hon. Adebisi Obawale (Ila Federal Constituency).
Also present were principal secretaries within the campaign structure, including Prince Ibitoye Kilomodemo (IBO Federal Constituency); Hon. Kamil Oyedele (Osogbo); Hon. Tunde Faleye (Ijesa South); and Hon. Oluwasegun Oluwadare (Irewole).
The visit forms part of a deliberate and well-coordinated effort by the Campaign Council, under the leadership of Hon. Oke, to consult widely with respected leaders of the progressive family and draw from their wealth of experience before fully embarking on the task of securing victory for Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji in the forthcoming gubernatorial election.
Speaking during the visit, Hon. Oluwole Oke emphasized the importance of humility, consultation, and respect for leadership in the pursuit of political success.
“In line with our values and tradition, we deemed it necessary to first seek the blessings, prayers, and strategic guidance of our leaders before setting out on this important assignment,” he stated. “Having consulted revered elders such as Chief Bisi Akande and Alhaji Shuaibu Oyedokun, it was imperative to also come before Your Excellency for your fatherly counsel.”
Hon. Oluwole Oke described Asiwaju Oyetola as a pillar of stability and a guiding force within the party, noting that his experience in governance and party administration remains invaluable to the success of the campaign.
In his response, Asiwaju Oyetola commended Hon. Wole Oke and members of the Campaign Council for their sense of responsibility, discipline, and commitment to due process, describing their approach as commendable and reflective of true progressive ideals.
He charged the team to adopt practical, grassroots-driven strategies that will resonate with the people, stressing the need for effective voter engagement and message discipline.
“Our success lies in connecting directly with the people. You must intensify grassroots mobilization and ensure that our message is clear, factual, and people-centered,” he advised.
The Minister further urged the Council to remain united, focused, and vigilant, assuring them of his support and expressing confidence in their collective capacity to deliver victory at the polls.
The visit underscores the Campaign Council’s readiness, unity of purpose, and determination to approach the assignment with strategic foresight, discipline, and deep respect for leadership.
