APC Demonstrates Strategic Depth, Class, and Organic Strength Across Ijesa South Federal Constituency

Inaugurates Over 12,000 Canvassers Across Key LGAs for AMBO

It was nothing short of a political festival across Atakumosa East, Atakumosa South, Ilesa West, and Ilesa East Local Government Areas as the All Progressives Congress (APC),journeyed through the hilly hinterland of Osu to Ilerin,Ijemba,Odo-Ijesa,Iperindo to Ilesa successfully inaugurated its election canvassers in Osu, Iperindo, and Ilesa towards actualisation of the victory of Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji on the 15th August,2026.

What distinguished these well-attended gatherings was not merely their impressive scale, but the unmistakable organic nature of participation. These were not crowds assembled for optics or hastily mobilized from distant constituencies; rather, they comprised verifiable, traditional party faithfuls and grassroots stakeholders whose loyalty has been nurtured over time through trust, structure, and shared political values.

The exercise was led by the Director-General of the Campaign Council, Hon. Oluwole Oke, alongside the Co-Chairman of the Campaign Council, Rt. Hon. Timothy Owoeye; Hon. Sanya Omirin, Member representing Ijesa South Federal Constituency; the Chairman of the Ijesa South Campaign Committee, Hon. Femi Kujembola,Hon. Wale Adedoyin; and other respected party leaders including Comrade Festus Oyebade Olowogboyega, Comrade Afolabi Abayomi,Hon. Babatunde Festus Komolafe,Alhaji Soliu Alubankudi, and Hon. Dr. Faleye (Falex).

Other dignitaries at the events are Hon. (Princess) Folusho Adekoya, Executive Chairman, Atakumosa East LGA;Hon. Olusola Fadare, LCDA Chairman,Hon. Olanrewaju Balogun, Ilesa East.

In total, canvassers were formally inaugurated across the constituency as follows:

Atakumosa East – 2,310

Atakumosa West – 2,280

Ilesa East – 3,960

Ilesa West – 3,630

These figures reinforce the party’s preparedness and structural depth ahead of the forthcoming electoral contest.

Beyond the ceremonial significance, the events revealed a deeper, well-calibrated political strategy anchored on numbers, structure, and voter intimacy. The APC’s approach remains deliberate and methodical: building from the grassroots upward, empowering canvassers as direct connectors to the electorate, and prioritizing measurable voter conversion over noise and propaganda.

In his remarks, Rt. Hon. Timothy Owoeye expressed strong confidence in the capacity and commitment of the canvassers to take the message of prosperity of Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji to the masses, assuring them that the political tide is turning decisively. He further stated that Governor Ademola Adeleke is “already writing his handover note,” reflecting the party’s growing optimism.

The gatherings culminated in a massive “Walk-to-Live” procession from Ilesa Grammar School through Okesa Roundabout to Isida and ended Ita -Akogun. The turnout was overwhelming,a sea of committed party members moving with purpose, unity, and clarity. This was not a display of borrowed strength, but a powerful demonstration of homegrown political capital.

At each location, Hon. Oluwole Oke commended the canvassers for their dedication and charged them to deepen the party’s reach through sustained micro-level voter engagement. His message was unequivocal: elections are won through strategic multiplication, not mere aggregation. Every canvasser, he emphasized, is a critical node in expanding the APC’s numerical advantage.

Reaffirming the party’s position, Hon. Oke stated unequivocally that the current administration has lost touch with the grassroots, adding that the momentum clearly favours the APC. According to him, “APC is speaking to numbers, not noise,” a statement that encapsulates the party’s data-driven, structure-focused campaign philosophy.

Indeed, what unfolded across these local governments stands as a testament to the APC’s organizational strength, disciplined messaging, and enduring connection with its base. The events underscore a growing consensus: victory is not being wished for,it is being systematically built.

As the campaign progresses, one fact remains evident: the APC in Osun as shown in Ijesa South is not relying on fleeting excitement, but on solid political architecture, credible leadership, and an energized, organic followership poised to determine the outcome at the polls.
