EDUCATIONAL GRANT FOR INDIGENT IJESA UNIVERSITY STUDENTS

IJESA STUDENTS GRANTS REGISTRATION GUILDLINE
Applications are invited from University students of ijesa origin for THE IJESA SO CIETY ANNUAL EDUCATIONAL GRANT OF N200,000.00 only per student
1. CRITERIA FOR AWARDS:
i. Applicants parents must be ljesa indigenes.
ii. Applicant must be indigent. He/She must produce evidence of impecuniosity with an attestation letter by the Chairman of his/her Local Government Area or the Oba of his/her town/village.
iii. Applicant must be a registered student of a Public University in Nigeria and must be certified by the appropriate authority of the institution.
iv. Applicant must demonstrate good academic performance, wim a minimum cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 3.50/5,00. The statement of result must be signed by the registrar or appropriate authority of the institution.
v. Applicants must not be final year students.
2. HOW TO APPLY FOR THE IDESA SOCIETY EDUCATIONAL GRANT
Each applicant shall submit a typed application letter, not more than 500 words addressed to “The Chairman, Education Committee, THE IDESA SOCIETY, Lagos”. The letter must include the name of Candidate, Course of Study, Year of Study, Town or Village in Tjesaland, and Local Government Area and why the candidate believes that he/she should be given the Educational Grant. The Application letter must be accompanied by:
I. Evidence of parent being an indigene of ljesaland or a letter from his/her Oba in Ijesaland certifying that the candidate is from that town or village.
ii. Photocopies of WAEC/NECO/SSCE results and JAMB admission. letter.
iii. A photocopy of the candidate’s current University Identity card
iv. A letter from the Registrar/Dean of student affairs of the candidate’s institution certifying the candidate as a student of that institution.
v. A letter from the candidate’s current Head of Department, Including correct information of the candidate’s Bio-data, Academic Profile and CGPA for the last academic semester.
vii. A current passport photograph.
All applications with supporting documents are to be uploaded to the Office of the Chairman, Education Committee, The Ijesa Society at sirgb2001@yahoo.com to be submitted not later han Eight weeks from the date of this announcement.
