“A Wake-Up Call on Nigeria’s Insecurity” — An Open Message to U.S. President Donald Trump by Ex-Labour Party Presidential Aspirant, H.E. Faduri Oluwadare Joseph (Fadojoe)

Ex-Labour Party Presidential Aspirant, Faduri Oluwadare Joseph, also known as Fadojoe, the founder of the Rescue Movement for New Nigeria, has issued an open message to the President of the United States, Donald J. Trump, concerning the escalating insecurity and terrorism plaguing Nigeria. In his address, Faduri expressed heartfelt appreciation to President Trump for drawing international attention to Nigeria’s worsening security crisis.

Faduri Joseph began by thanking President Trump for taking an active interest in Nigeria’s situation. “On behalf of millions of Nigerians, both at home and abroad,” he said, “I want to thank the U.S. President for speaking out on the issue of insecurity in Nigeria. Your intervention has forced our leaders to finally confront what Nigerians have been crying about for years.”

Ex-Labour Party Presidential Aspirant, Faduri Joseph, lamented that before President Trump’s comments, successive Nigerian governments had turned a blind eye to the killings, kidnappings, and terrorist activities taking place across the nation. “From Benue to Plateau, Southern Kaduna, Ondo, and other parts of the country, Nigerians are being killed daily. Villages are being burnt by jihadist groups, yet the government has shown little urgency in protecting its citizens,” he said.

Faduri noted that it took just a single tweet and firm words from the U.S. President for Nigeria’s government to suddenly start addressing issues it had long ignored. “For the first time, we see the government sitting down to talk about terrorism and insecurity. This shows the power of accountability and the global attention your voice has brought,” he emphasized.

Faduri Joseph also spoke about the plight of Nigerians in the diaspora. “Many Nigerians, including those who are now U.S. citizens, cannot return home because of the high level of insecurity,” he explained. “Our children cannot visit their homeland safely. But rather than only fearing talk of U.S. intervention, we should ask ourselves, are we truly better off living under the daily threat of terrorists?”

Ex-Labour Party Presidential Aspirant, Faduri, pointed out three major outcomes that have resulted from the U.S. President’s remarks:

1. The Nigerian government under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has been compelled to take the issue of insecurity more seriously.

2. The conversation on security has been revived, both locally and internationally.

3. The Tinubu administration is now showing renewed interest in confronting terrorism, a problem that had been neglected for too long.

Faduri Joseph however emphasized that the current efforts remain inadequate. “In many rural areas, terrorists operate for hours without any military response. I have personally spoken with military officers who say they lack the weapons and equipment to match these insurgents,” he stated.

He appealed directly to President Trump, saying, “Beyond plans to invade or intervene militarily, please help Nigeria by exposing those who sponsor terrorism within and outside the government. We believe the U.S. has intelligence and information that can uncover the financiers and enablers of terror in Nigeria. Help us reveal them, so that Nigerians may know their true enemies, both within and without.”

Faduri concluded his message with words of gratitude: “Thank you, President Trump, for shining a light on Nigeria’s security challenges and bringing the issue to the world’s attention. Your concern has given Nigerians renewed hope that the world is watching and that justice will one day prevail. May God bless Nigeria, and may God bless the United State
