REJOINDER: IFẸ APC CAUCUS DISTANCES SELF FROM FALSE ENDORSEMENT CLAIM*
The Ifẹ APC Elders Caucus, under the distinguished leadership of Baba Sooko Adeleke Adewoyin, wishes to unequivocally debunk and dissociate itself from a misleading publication alleging that the caucus has endorsed Senator Francis Adenigba Fadahunsi ahead of the 2027 senatorial primaries.
This claim is entirely false, unfounded, and a clear misrepresentation of facts.
For the avoidance of doubt, at no time did the Ifẹ APC Elders Caucus, either collectively or individually, endorse any aspirant during the said meeting or at any other time. The publication in circulation is therefore a product of misinformation and should be disregarded by the general public and members of our great party.
As a respected body of party leaders and custodians of unity in Ifẹland, our priority at this critical moment is to strengthen cohesion within the party and mobilize massively for the victory of the APC in the forthcoming gubernatorial election on August 15, 2026.
We remain firmly guided by the principle that the party is supreme. Consequently, the Ifẹ APC Elders Caucus is committed to supporting whoever emerges as the duly nominated candidate of the party through a credible and transparent process.
It is apposite to add that we hold Senator Fadahunsi, along with other aspirants for the coveted Osun East Senatorial ticket, in high esteem and will take all necessary steps at the appropriate time to ensure that our great party secures victory at all levels in the 2026 and 2027 elections.
Any attempt to drag the name of the caucus into premature endorsements or political permutations is not only unacceptable but also capable of causing unnecessary division within the party.
We therefore call on all party faithful to remain focused, united, and committed to the collective goal of electoral victory, rather than being distracted by baseless claims and unauthorized statements.
*Our position is clear and unambiguous*:
*We have endorsed no one, and we will stand by the party’s decision at the appropriate time*.
*Signed*;
