Fellow Nigerians,

We come together today with a shared sense of duty—to rescue our beloved nation and restore the core principles of our democracy. This gathering marks a significant moment in the formal unveiling of a renewed political alliance—a coalition uniting diverse opposition parties, civil society groups, youth movements, and patriotic citizens across Nigeria.

Let it be clear: this coalition is not just about electoral competition or capturing power. It is a determined, patriotic response to the ongoing erosion of our democratic foundations. What we launch today is a long and difficult journey, but one we undertake with full conviction, knowing that the future of our country is worth every sacrifice.

In just two years, the current administration has taken alarming steps to dismantle democratic structures, concentrating power and authority to the detriment of the people. Through manipulation and division, they have weakened opposition parties, silenced dissent, and engineered a path towards one-party rule. This coalition exists to stop that slide—to defend pluralism and ensure that Nigerians always have a choice.

We are faced with a government indifferent to suffering, obsessed with politics over governance, and negligent of the basic needs of its citizens. It is a regime where corruption thrives unchecked, accountability is nonexistent, and the people’s trust is constantly betrayed.

Today, we affirm our commitment to a new kind of political organization—one rooted in justice, equality, and inclusion. A party that abides by its own rules, respects democratic norms, and treats every member as an equal. Here, young and old, men and women, farmers and professionals—all will have a place and a voice.

To every Nigerian, we say: this is your political home. A place where the North embraces the South, where experience meets youthful energy, and where diversity becomes our greatest strength. This is not a movement for any single group—it is a movement for Nigeria.

We are choosing a new path:

A path of unity over division

Service over hollow slogans

Decisive action over endless excuses

Empathy over neglect

Openness over secrecy

Fairness over favoritism

True development over empty rhetoric

Delivery over deception

Rule of law over lawlessness

And justice over inequality

Our goal extends far beyond the next election. It is about restoring the very soul of our democracy, returning power to the people, and building a nation where our children can dream and thrive.

So, to every citizen who still believes in the promise of Nigeria—join us. Stand with us. Let history remember that when our democracy stood on the brink, we answered the call with courage and unity.

Let the message echo across the land:

The opposition stands united.

The African Democratic Congress is our platform.

The time to act is now.

Our mission is simple and urgent:

To rescue Nigeria.

To rebuild Nigeria.

To return power to its rightful owners—the people.

May God guide this coalition.

May God bless the African Democratic Congress.

And may God continue to bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
