Amb. Chief Ilesanmi Francis Olaniyi (IJOBA FEDERAL), a senatorial aspirant for Osun East, returned to his Alma Mater, Elefosan Grammar School, where he once served as all-time class captain from JSS1 to SS3, Head Boy in Junior Secondary School, Senior Prefect in Senior Secondary, and the overall best student of the 1998 graduating set. He graced the grand finale of the school’s 45th Founders’ Anniversary with joy, describing the school as the foundation upon which his life was built.

APC bigwig, Amb. Chief Ilesanmi Francis Olaniyi expressed deep happiness at witnessing the anniversary celebration. He urged all old students, both at home and in the diaspora, never to forget their source, Elefosan Grammar School. He described the reunion with his classmates, seniors, and juniors as “a great moment filled with memories,” stressing the importance of unity, communication, and continuous support for the school. He noted that many old students abroad may not be fully aware of the school’s needs, and there is a need to bridge the communication gap so everyone can contribute meaningfully.

Speaking on his political mission, the leading senatorial aspirant, Amb. Ilesanmi, explained that his blueprint for the Senate is all about service. He emphasised that if elected, he would stand firmly to sponsor and support bills that directly benefit the people. These include bills that promote agriculture, stable electricity, quality infrastructure, industrialisation, youth and women empowerment, and maternal support systems. He emphasised the need for a bold representative, someone who can speak the people’s voice, listen to them, and work day and night to make things better, not someone “who goes to the red chamber to sleep,” he said. According to him, the person should be him, Amb. Chief Ilesanmi Francis Olaniyi, a leader committed to delivering tangible results.

A philanthropist, and community developer, Amb. Ilesanmi recounted several contributions he has made to the school and the community at large. He highlighted efforts in the fixing of electricity, rehabilitation of roads, and plans to attract companies that will boost local business and generate significant monthly revenue. He announced a major project, a mega station for PMS, CNG, LPG, and engine oil located along the Ipetu-Inesa Express Road, and another upcoming mega quarry capable of transforming the economic landscape of the area.

He also noted his focus on agriculture, revealing plans for an Agro-Elite Company to support cocoa production and reduce dependence on imported chemicals.

In education, he stated that he has offered over 20 WAEC and NECO scholarships across Osun East, and in Ife, about 29 students received scholarships to learn Adire and other vocational skills. In Ilesa, he is currently working on building an ICT centre, and he has employed teachers in public secondary schools, whom he personally pays, all in the interest of community development.

He stressed that anything that contributes to the growth of the community will always have his support. Concluding, he prayed for God’s help for everyone and for the fulfilment of his desire to serve as the Senator for Osun East.
