BBNaija’s Doyin tell ladies what to do instead of relying on Boyfriends Money
Doyin David, a former Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) housemate, has advised women to avoid feeling entitled to their boyfriends’ money. Responding to a fan’s question on Snapchat, Doyin emphasized that a man is not financially obligated to a woman unless they are married.
The reality star encouraged women to seek employment rather than rely on their boyfriends for financial support.
“I don’t consider him stingy if he doesn’t give you money randomly. If your boyfriend gives you money when you ask, you’re fortunate to have a generous partner, but he’s not obligated to provide money simply because you are his girlfriend,” she stated.
Doyin also highlighted that a man’s financial contributions are acts of generosity and not obligations. She cautioned against being misled by social media, emphasizing that having a generous partner is a privilege, not a right.
“Making money is not inherently easier for men than women. It’s difficult to earn money, and no one wants to spend it ‘randomly’. If you need money, get a job,” she added.
Doyin, known for her candid views on relationships, rose to fame during the ‘Level Up’ edition of BBNaija in 2022 and returned as a contestant in the recently concluded All Stars season.
