Benue State University Teaching Hospital to Establish VIP Section

Dr. Steven Hwande, the Chief Medical Director of Benue State University Teaching Hospital in Makurdi, announced on Wednesday that the hospital plans to create a dedicated section for Very Important Personalities (VIPs) in the near future.
Dr. Hwande shared this information during a press briefing leading up to the “International Investigation Summit,” an event focused on medical advancements and innovations.
A key feature of the two-day summit, themed “Attaining One Stock Hospital,” will be an exhibition showcasing medical equipment by professionals. Additionally, the summit will launch an endowment fund and honor those who have supported the hospital.
The summit aims to enhance medical tourism by mimicking global standards. “We are organizing a medical scientific exhibition on research and training starting Thursday, where various medical equipment will be displayed,” Dr. Hwande stated. “The hospital is also planning to establish a VIP clinic.”
Dr. Hwande also pointed out that the hospital faces significant challenges, including water and electricity supply issues.
