Breaking: NYSC Announces Missing of Akwa Ibom Coordinator

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has reported that Mr. Okun Christopher, the State Coordinator for Akwa Ibom, and his driver, Mr. Daniel Effiong Asibong, are missing.
According to Eddy Megwa, Director of Press and Public Relations, the two were abducted while traveling between Delta and Akwa Ibom States for an official duty on July 29, 2024. Despite ongoing efforts, their location remains unknown.
Megwa stated that the NYSC is working closely with their families to gather any leads about their whereabouts and urged anyone with information to come forward. The vehicle they were in, a white Hilux with registration number “27D31FG,” has not been recovered.
He asked anyone with information to contact any of the 37 NYSC state secretariats, area offices, the national directorate headquarters in Abuja, or the nearest police station for immediate assistance.
Okun began his role as the 19th NYSC State Coordinator in Akwa Ibom in April 2024.
