Couple Arrested in Edo for Allegedly Assaulting 8-Year-Old Maid
The Edo State Police Command has detained a couple for the alleged assault of their eight-year-old maid, known as Precious, in Ikpoba Hill, Benin City, within the Ikpoba Okha Local Government Area.
The couple, who reportedly inflicted injuries on the young maid—who is the niece of the wife identified as Mummy Gabriel—were taken into custody after the incident was reported to the Oregbeni Police Division.
Police spokesperson Moses Joel Yamu confirmed the arrests, stating, “We have received reports regarding this incident. The victim is currently receiving medical care, and the investigation is ongoing.”
